Fractals, scaling and fractional operators as a foundation of new methods of information processing and fractal radio systems designing
Abstract
In this article, the main results of theoretical and experimental studies conducted by the author at the V.A. Kotelnikov Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics of the Russian Academy of Sciences since the 1980s are presented. These studies led to the establishment and development of a new fundamental scientific field: “Fractal Radiophysics and Fractal Radioelectronics: Design of Fractal Radio Systems.” It is shown that the effectiveness of radiophysical and radio engineering research can be significantly enhanced by taking into account the fractality of wave phenomena occurring at all stages of radiation, scattering, propagation, and reception of radio waves.
