Founded in 1977 by the Odesa research institute of technology «Temp» as the specislized scientific and technical collection «Tekhnika sredstv svyazi. Seriya TPO» (in translation «Communication equipment. TPO series») of the Ministry of communication facilities industry of the USSR. In 1991 it was transformed into interindustry collection and registered as scientific and technical journal of the USSR «Tekhnologiya i Konstruirovanie v Elektronnoi Apparature» (in translation «Technology and design in electronic equipment»). In 1992, the journal was re-registered as a Ukrainian mass media under the same name. In 2023, it was re-registered again under the name «Technology and design in electronic equipment» / «Tekhnolohiya ta konstruyuvannya v elektronniy aparaturi».
